DT Swiss RR440, 24, 28, 32h, black, standard and eccentric drilling. £70rr440

DT Swiss say:
High performance road rim designed to DT Swiss’ exacting specifications
The RR 440 is a touch wider than the RR 415 and RR 465SBWT – outer: 21 mm, inner: 19 mm
While still maintaining the integrity and light weight strength known in great DT Swiss products
This rim will pair perfectly with our 240s or 350 hubs to provide the ultimate all around wheel set
Strength Boost Welding Technology creates a perfectly welded join for a durable, reliable rim
Machined sidewalls for powerful braking on a consistent sidewall surface
Wear indicators show the extent of sidewall wear
The perfectly aligned stainless double eyelets distribute stress evenly, allowing for 4% higher spoke tensions than conventional rims
Higher torsional rigidity due to optimised rim profile
Unique process for the black coating produces a tough and durable finish
Total integration of all wheel components is now possible for the first time; hubs, spokes and rims from one manufacturer
Presta drilling
Weight: 450

DCR says:

DT Swiss’ latest and most modern road racing rim. The eccentric drilling is a sensible option, especially as Shimano 11s hubs require such severe dishing. The increased width is also a sensible move. The wider availability of drillings will mean that a wheelset with these rims can be lighter, even though the rim is heavier than the 415, which was, in my opinion, a little fragile. The rim isn’t quite as stiff as I would like it to be, however it is a good compromise for a more traditional looking wheelset, a huge improvement on something like the Open Pro. I think 24:28 or 28:32 lacing is probably more sensible than the minimum available which is 24:24. If you want a stiffer rim, you would do well to consider something deeper and perhaps wider too, for example the Pacenti SL23.
