DCR Wheels takes all possible measures to ensure that items are dispatched according to their requested specification. The above invoice indicates the specification that will be provided.  If you have any concerns about that specification, please indicate them prior to making a part or full payment on the order.   Payments made will be taken as an obligation to purchase the above specification and refunds are only possible beyond that point if the items are faulty. 

If a product arrives that is not of the above specification, please contact DCR Wheels immediately.  If the wheelset is altered, damaged or used it may affect your entitlement to a refund or replacement. 

Products that have been damaged during transit are at the responsibility of the courier.  DCR Wheels will not compensate for any damages incurred during their transportation.  The level of compensation entitlement with the courier is indicated above in your invoice.  Additional compensation cover can be purchased at approximate cost upon request.  Damages caused due to inappropriate packaging are the responsibility of DCR Wheels.  Any dispute as to responsibility prior to delivery is a matter to be resolved between DCR Wheels and the relevant courier.

DCR Wheels is not responsible for any personal injury incurred while using this wheel or wheelset, unless caused by a defective product or negligence on the part of DCR Wheels.  We are not responsible for any other loss or damage which is not foreseeable, and in the case of damage caused by a defective product, we are only liable if the amount of the loss or damage exceeds £275. These wheel(s) are made to a requested specification.  Measures are taken to reduce the likelihood of their failure and advice will be given as to their appropriateness for their intended function.  Please tell us if you have a specific use in mind. However, the integrity of wheelsets is not guaranteed and they are to be used at the owner’s risk. 

Maintenance advice

Regular maintenance is always recommended with any mechanical object particularly if that object’s integrity carries a risk to personal safety.  In particular, checks for cracks in components, loss of spoke tension, loss of wheel trueness and bearing integrity should be carried out regularly.  If you have any concerns about your wheelset, please inform DCR Wheels immediately. We recommend carefully checking the integrity of wheelsets before every use, and ensuring wheelsets are regularly serviced by a qualified and experienced professional with appropriate tooling. DCR Wheels can offer advice on basic servicing, including helping you identify issues, and on suitable service intervals.

We’re here to help

DCR Wheels will check the condition of any wheelsets purchased from us if you send them in. We provide basic hub servicing and spoke replacement (where defective through reasonable use) free of charge. We can replace other parts but these are chargeable. We are always on hand to offer advice, so please contact us with your requirements or any concerns.



Warranties on component parts will comply with UK regulations and manufacturer commitments.  Warranties on labour are outlined in detail under the Warranty section.

Products purchased online are covered by distance contract rules.  In the case of parts supplied by DCR Wheels, customers who wish to return purchased items up to 14 days after receipt can do so, provided they are returned in their original condition.  The refund will be provided to the value of the item but exclude any postage or packaging costs.  When a wheelset is purchased then the contract is for Custom Goods – these goods may not be suitable for resale and if so you are unable to cancel and get a refund if you change your mind.  However, if the product arrives defective then your refund rights are unaffected. 

The above rules also stipulate the buyer’s right to clear information about the goods being purchased.  These rights remain protected with Custom Goods.  If you feel unhappy about any of the information about the product, please contact DCR Wheels. 

Typically work commences on your wheelset as soon as payment or part payment is received.  If you wish to cancel your order after this point please contact DCR Wheels as soon as possible. ‘Cooling off’ periods are available upon request.  You can request an indicated time frame for dispatch of goods purchased.  If that time frame is unreasonably exceeded you may request a refund.

When buying online you are protected against card fraud. 



DCR Wheels provides a limited lifetime warranty against any wheelset in addition to any manufacturer warranty.  This covers the integrity of the build as well as spoke failure.  The warranty will only remain valid if the product has been used for its intended function.  If the wheel or wheelset has been misused or damaged, DCR Wheels reserves the right to withdraw any warranty.  Warranty covers the cost of all parts, labour and administration required to repair the wheelset.  It does not cover the cost of any postage or packaging.  Postage will be charged at cost if necessary.
