WR are a company who specialise in carbon fibre. Most of what they manufacture is used in the motorsport industry, but they also make carbon fibre bicycle rims.

The rims they make have been around for a while. They do not emphasise aerodynamics as a lot of the high end manufacturers do, they have just be a very solid, nice and light rim, that has been a staple on the professional circuit (although often rebranded).

The rims can handle nice high spoke tensions. WR only make tubular rims. They are tough and comfortable and build up nicely.

Available models through DCR are:

26 mm Tubular rim, 3k raw finish without logos (T800), 20 or 24 hole – £579, 250g
43 mm Tubular rim, 3k raw finish without logos (T800), 20 or 24 hole – £599, 315g
43 mm Tubular rim, 3k raw finish without logos (T1000), 20 or 24 hole – £649, 315g

The T1000 rims are made from a higher grade of carbon fibre, making the rims stiffer and tougher. T800 is a sound choice of carbon for most of the rims, it is a higher quality than the standard T700 that you use but makes for a softer ride than the T1000 carbon.

The 26mm rim, with CX-Rays and Tune hubs comes in at an estimated 980g. £1779
The 43mm rim is probably a better all round rim for mixed applications. 1110g, £1819
